Overview#

CarComplaint allows users to search the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) database through a SOAP service to retrieve a list of complaints about a specific car make, model, and year. Users log in or register with a secure system, where their credentials are stored in an XML database with encrypted passwords. The application also analyzes all retrieved complaints to identify and display the 10 most commonly used words, providing users with quick insights into common issues reported for their selected vehicle.

Why#

The current National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) database does not provide users with insights into the most commonly reported issues for their vehicles. By analyzing and presenting the most frequently used words in complaints, this application empowers users to identify common problems with their vehicle. This not only helps people make more informed decisions about repairs and maintenance but also gives them a clearer understanding of potential safety concerns.
